Overview

Anoplate is looking for a Vice President of Product Engineering with experience and the ability to be a part of Anoplate’s Leadership Team. The participant will be setting and facilitating strategic direction and corporate strategy while ensuring that our product vision is realized through excellence in execution.  The VP will work collaboratively with operations, support functions and the customer to develop product strategy and optimize process efficiency. In addition, assure the customers receive the highest quality and performance finishing product on time while providing management and direction of industrial, lean, cost engineering, scheduling, and planning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, evaluate, and oversee training and performance of Industrial, Lean, Cost Engineering, Scheduling, and Planning staff for the purpose of meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and direct Engineering projects, ensure detailed plans are in place to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities on time and on budget.
  • Identify and direct projects in support of equipment, and other innovative improvements related to manufacturing and new business opportunities.
  • Prepare budgets, capital proposals, ROI’s, and contracts.            
  • Ensures current and accurate costing in conjunction with engineering and finance.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work performed in the department.
  • Lead efforts to implement use of Lean tools and efficiency improvements to existing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Minimum experience of 10-15 years including 5 years in managing a team of engineers. Lean Understanding (as a guide for implementing improvements) and must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software. Candidate must possess strong leadership and organizational skills to be successful in this role, and must display excellent communication (both written and verbal), time management, project planning, and team development skills. Candidate will be expected to contribute to strategic planning, organizational transformation, and employee development initiatives.
