EN Tank Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift

The Tank Technician will support and maintain smooth production operations, safety for personnel and protection of the environment. This person will work with suppliers and co-workers along with interacting with production workers, production supervisors, waste treatment and maintenance personnel. Primary responsibility ensures all processes are within operating parameters and take appropriate action necessary to maintain control of the processes. This position is second shift (approximately Monday- Friday 2pm-1030pm with some flexibility with start and stop times). Overtime is available as necessary. Pay range is $13.50+ depending on experience. Second shift receives a shift differential in addition to the listed wage.



The EN Tank Maintenance will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring tanks are properly mixed for plating process and will monitor tanks for same, including:
    • Pump-overs
    • New tank make-up
    • Adding/adjusting chemicals (strip)
    • Chemical additions
    • Stripping hardware
    • Conducting lab analysis
  • Cleans, replaces and fixes broken tank hardware including:
    • Clips
    • Tank covers
    • Level markers
    • Pick-up tubes
    • Filters & pumps
    • Carbon bags and dummies
  • Notifies other departs. (ie; lab andmaint.) when issues arise,ie;
    • Leaky tanks
    • Broken pumps
    • Heating issues
    • Chemical problems
    • Controller issues
    • Spargers, Eductors & Air lines
  • Performs all start-up functions for EN lines to include:
    • Topping off tanks
    • Setting proper tank temperatures
    • Setting correct chemistries
    • Replenishing chemicals
  • Performs housekeeping for EN area including:
    • Skid storage
    • Laying and cleaning up absorbent
    • Cleaning fluids spilled thru own work
    • Preparing area for plating work
  • Document all work as instructed.
  • Maintains chemical storage in a neat and orderly manner and updates inventory records.
    • Use of safety straps
    • Labels on drums must face out.
    • Documents quantity in drum on label.
    • Update inventory records by submitting in add sheets
    • All drum covers closed tightly and drums clean after use
    • Use of safety straps
  • Fills in as Environmental Operation Operator 1 to cover for vacations, and absence as backup.
  • Performs other duties as required.


A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Previous experience in chemical handling/storage,  manufacturing production, and general machinery maintenance preferred. Pre-employment drug testing and background screening required.
