Overview

Job Description:

The Tank Technician will support and maintain smooth production operations, safety for personnel and protection of the environment. This person will work with suppliers and co-workers along with interacting with production workers, production supervisors, waste treatment and maintenance personnel. Primary responsibility is maintaining chemical storage (both facilities) in a neat and orderly manner. This position requires attention to detail and good communication skills. We are looking for candidates who have strong coordination/multi-tasking abilities, positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a commitment to safety. There are two positions open: 2nd shift (approximately 2pm-1030pm Monday-Friday with some flexibility on start/stop times) and 3rd Shift (approximately 930pm- 6am Sunday-Friday with some flexibility on start/stop times). Overtime is available as necessary.  Starting pay is $13.50+ depending on experience. Second and Third shifts receive a wage differential on top of the position rate.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates assigned adds, dumps, treats and other tank maintenance items with production, Environmental Operations and maintenance, before performing.
  • Utilizes instructions in various forms (PCP, TrueChem, Work Instructions)
  • Measures chemicals and makes additions to processing baths
  • Performs purification, freeze out, batch filtrations, etc. (treatments) on the solutions as scheduled by the lab.
  • Utilize Accurterm to determine chemical locations/storage. Utilize storage procedures to assure area is kept clean and orderly
  • Performs physical chemical inventory as scheduled.
  • The Tank Maintenance Technician may be combined with other positions, based on business needs.

In addition, maintaining a chemical storage including:

  • Use of safety straps
  • Labels on drums must face out.
  • Documents quantity in drum on label.
  • Update inventory records by submitting in add sheets
  • All drum covers closed tightly and drums clean after use
  • Fill in as Temporary Environmental Operator 1 if the need comes up
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

Careers Center - EN Tank Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Previous experience in chemical handling/storage,  manufacturing production, and general machinery maintenance preferred. The position requires obtainment of fork truck use certification. Pre-employment drug testing and background screening required.
