Overview

Job Description:

We are looking for a 2nd shift Tank Maintenance Technician to maintain chemical storage (both facilities) in a neat and orderly manner. This position requires attention to detail and good communication skills. We are looking for candidates who have strong coordination/multi-tasking abilities, positive attitude, excellent work ethic and learns from every experience with a desire to learn while monitoring and maintaining a safe work environment. We will provide necessary training.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates assigned adds, dumps, treats and other tank maintenance items with production, EO and maintenance, before performing.
  • Utilizes instructions in various forms (PCP, TrueChem, Work Instructions)
  • Measures chemicals and makes additions to processing baths
  • Performs purification, freeze out, batch filtrations, etc. (treatments) on the solutions as scheduled by the lab.
  • Utilize Accurterm to determine chemical locations/storage. Utilize storage procedures to assure area is kept clean and orderly
  • Performs physical chemical inventory as scheduled.
  • The Tank Maintenance Technician may be combined with other positions, based on business needs.

In addition, maintaining a chemical storage including:

  • Use of safety straps
  • Labels on drums must face out.
  • Documents quantity in drum on label.
  • Update inventory records by submitting in add sheets
  • All drum covers closed tightly and drums clean after use
  • Fill in as Temporary Environmental Operator 1 if the need comes up
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required and equivalent tank technician experience is preferred. This position requires strong attention to detail, fork truck certification and an exceptional work ethic with a desire to learn.  Basic math and computer skills required and experience with waste treatment systems is preferred.
