Overview

The Masking/Painting Technician performs painting, silk screening, dry lube, and other organic applications on various size parts. This position requires intricate attention to detail to complete the following tasks; small brush painting with high detail, application with needle tip syringe, tape masking application on area of parts that require different finishes and masking holes using various plugs. The second shift position typically works Monday-Friday 2pm-1030pm (some flexibility on start/stop times is available) with overtime available as necessary. Starting rate is $11.00+ depending on experience. A second shift differential is available for the position but is not included in the advertised starting rate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Has knowledge and ability to use painting and silk screen equipment.
  • Cleans paint and silk screen equipment to maintain optimum quality and increased productivity.
  • Reads and interprets Tech Date Sheets, specification and MSDS.
  • Effectively performs painting functions according to traveler instructions and supervision.
  • Uses test equipment to verify quality (permascope, gages, micrometers, etc.) of painting results.
  • High attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintains accurate inspection records and signs all witness lines needed in paperwork.
  • Runs multiple jobs simultaneously, meeting quality, safety, environmental and productivity standards.
  • Able to effectively perform masking responsibilities whenever needed.
  • Capable of performing bond-able paint requirements.
  • Previews all work coming into area to determine process, masking requirement, supplies needed, and traveler information verification. Gets all travelers updated to assure process repeatability.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in small brush painting or as a tattoo artist preferred. Experience with reading blueprints is a plus.  

Candidates must possess excellent attention to detail, great fine motor function and the ability to perform tasks with neatness. Candidates must be able to sit for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Pre-employment drug testing and background screening required.
