Production Assistants and Plater Trainees are entry level production positions with Anoplate. Over the course of the paid training program you will attend classroom training sessions as well as have on the job training. As you progress and attain various levels of knowledge and expertise you will be rewarded with increased pay. This is a 2nd shift position with approximate work hours between 2pm-1030pm Monday-Friday (some flexibility on start/stop times) with overtime available as needed. Starting wage is $11.00/hr, plus depending on experience. Ashift differential is available but not included in the starting rate listed. A quarterly profit sharing bonus based on company financial goals can pay up to 6% of employee earnings.
Production Assistants are responsible for supporting Platers in maximizing tank output with limited waste in a safe, environmentally conscious, quality driven environment. PA's unpack, inspect, and prepare/rack parts for production. PA's play roles in the cycling of parts from tank to tank and perform other duties such as drying, inspecting, transporting and packing parts. Plater Trainees learn the art and science of metal finishing while working side by side with subject matter experts. Platers progress thru levels of different finishes learning the chemical and electrical make-up in the process of plating parts.
The positions require standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, stretching, reaching and lifting items that may weigh up to 50lbs.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Previous experience in chemical handling/storage, manufacturing production, or general machinery operation preferred. Pre-employment drug testing and background screening required.
